How do I separate my roster into multiple classes?

Teach math to several classes of students? Pull multiple groups for RTI? Teach students across different grade levels? Front Row allows teachers to separate students into multiple rosters. All teachers can create up to 3 different rosters.

To do this, click on "Manage Roster" on the left navigation bar on your Teacher Dashboard. There, if you are new to Front Row, and have yet to enter a roster, you will see the image below. Click on "Add Class" to begin entering your first class.

If you've already entered a class, you will see your first class, automatically labeled "Default Class" or labeled with another name you have already given it.

To add an additional class, click on the "Add Class" button at the top of the Roster page. Name this class with a title you'll recognize, like "Period 4," "5th Graders," or "RTI Group 2." You can see below that I have 2 classes set up: 1st Period and 2nd Period.

Your classes can also be renamed. Click on the "Class Options" dropdown at the top of the class, and select "Rename Class". Note that each class has its own rename button. Change the class name and click "Save"

You'll see all of your classes listed at the top of the "Manage Roster" page and can use all of the roster management tools for each of them.

It is important to note that each class has a different class code. The class code for each roster is listed at the top of each class (next to its name). To swap classes on your dashboard when creating assignments or looking at reports, use the drop down menu at the top of the Teacher Dashboard.
